COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - The top eight seeds all advanced in the opening round of the 2007 US Lacrosse Women's Division Intercollegiate Associates National Championship. Seventh-seeded Colorado rallied for a 12-11 victory over UCLA in the closest game of the day at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

Thursday's quarterfinal games will be highlighted by Colorado State and Michigan squaring off at 1 p.m. CSU was the runner-up in 2005 and Michigan was the runner-up in 2006. Cal Poly, which has won this national championship of college club teams each of the six previous years, battles Michigan State, which is making its first appearance in the tournament since 2002.

The other quarterfinals pit Navy, unbeaten against WDIA competition this year, against Colorado and UC-Santa Barbara meets up with BYU. The championship of the event will be held on Saturday, May 12 at the University of Denver's Peter Barton Stadium. All preliminary round games are being played at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The championship game will be televised on a tape-delay basis on CSTV will the first airing on Wednesday, May 16.
