Women's Lacrosse Named Top Seed In NCAA Tournament
 

 
 
 

 
The Panthers are on the hunt for their third NCAA title.

Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University women's lacrosse team was selected as the #1 seed in the North region for the NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship set to begin May 15 in Houston, Texas.

The Panthers (16-0) are the only undefeated team to advance to the Final Four. Adelphi will take on #2 C.W. Post (16-1) on Thursday, May 15 at 11:30 a.m. CT. Limestone (17-1) and West Chester (16-1) make up the South region teams. The championship game will take place on Friday, May 17, at 1:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on CBS College Sports.

This marks Adelphi's four Final Four appearance in the past five years. The Panthers captured the title in 2004 and again in 2006. They are 4-1 overall at the NCAA Tournament, falling in 2005 to eventual winner Stonehill College.
