BOSTON - Behind a commanding 19-6 advantage in draw controls and six players with multi-goal efforts, the top-seeded and eighth-ranked Boston University lacrosse team posted a 17-6 win over fourth-seeded Albany in the semifinal round of the America East Championship on Friday afternoon at Nickerson Field. The Terriers will face the winner of the Vermont/UNH semifinal in Sunday's title game.

BU, which will be looking to become the first America East team to win four straight league titles, extended its win streak to 12 games - two shy of the program record - and improved to 15-2 on the year. Albany ends its season with a record of 8-9.

Sophomore Traci Landy led the way with four goals and an assist, while classmate Xan Weitzel also had a five-point afternoon, tallying two goals and a game-high three assists. Fellow sophomore McKinley Curro scored twice and added a pair of assists, while senior co-captain Lauren Morton had a three-goal performance.
