HANOVER, N.H. - Behind a four-goal, five point performance from junior Sarah Dalton, the No. 8 Boston University lacrosse team closed out its regular season with a 15-9 victory over Dartmouth at Scully-Fahey Field Wednesday. Sophomore Xan Weitzel added two goals and three assists while senior co-captain Lauren Morton tallied three scores.

Despite a game-opening five-goal run by the Terriers, Dartmouth kept the game close for 60 minutes. Boston University held the Big Green on the defensive for the first five minutes, scoring five quick goals before Dartmouth caught up, tallying five of seven goals to close its deficit to two goals. However, the Terriers notched the final score of the half to take an 8-5 lead into the break.

Neither team was able to get on a roll during the second half, but BU controlled at least a two-goal lead the entire time. While the Terriers made quick, surgical strikes into Big Green territory, Dartmouth found openings in the BU defense by passing the ball around, drawing fouls and converting free-position opportunities.
