ALLSTON, Mass. - Behind five goals from junior Sarah Dalton, the No. 11 Boston University women's lacrosse earned a 18-6win over the Crimson at Harvard Stadium behind, growing its winning streak to six games. Senior co-captain Lauren Morton added four goals, while sophomore Xan Weitzel had a career-high three scores. Sophomores McKinley Curro and Traci Landy each notched two goals, while freshman Rachel Collins and junior Steph Walker tallied a score as well. Sophomore Erica Baumgartner had four assists on the afternoon and senior co-captain Molly Collins had three - a career high.

Spurred on by a 12-1 run in just over one half of play, the Terriers (9-2, 3-0 AE) built a formidable lead before Harvard chipped away a bit during the second half. After the break, Boston University and the Crimson exchanged goals the rest of the way.

At 22:41 of the first half, Baumgartner worked the ball around the back of the net and threw a centering pass to Weitzel in front of the goal. Weitzel quickly fired her shot past the goalkeeper for the first score of the game.

The play worked again with 18:49 remaining in the first half, as Baumgartner served up another pass, this time to Collins, who slung home the shot for a 2-0 advantage.

Boston University tacked on another four goals before Harvard notched their first, getting the ball in the net with 11:40 left in the first half.

However, that's as close as the Crimson would get, as BU rattled off another five goals before halftime to take an 11-1 lead into the break.

The Terriers added seven more goals in the second half, while Harvard collected five of their own.

BU had 22 shots on goal to Harvard's 13, also holding the advantage in ground balls (16-12) and draw controls (16-10).

The Terriers will head to California later this week to face Stanford on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. EST.
